The Holly and the Ivy

My first Can-Can: The Holly & the Ivy. Thanks to Holly Frey for helping me create this costume - Holly is my sewing mentor. I chose a corset pattern from an earlier period (18th century) for a flatter bust on this. The corset has steel boning in the channels. The fabric of the corset was a holly pattern that I ended up using the wrong side of as I liked the effect better. The skirt was a simple circle skirt with black taffeta ruffle underskirt. Much fun to wear.
